Visiting Key West from Miami is easy by car, with a journey of between 2.5 and 3 hours, depending on traffic. If you don't have a car in Miami, there are tours that take you to Key West for the day and then back to Miami. This city is also a frequent cruise stop in many itineraries.
It's true that the roads leading there are narrow, but it's also true that the views of the Florida Keys are breathtaking from every angle.

We departed before sunrise, as the city is a well worth daytrip, with many things to do for all ages, while many travelers choose to stay over the weekend to enjoy more the night life and clubs.
The morning hours are nice to walk the island and see the old streets with little shops. Known for its colorful architecture, lively street art, and an inclusive, laid-back atmosphere that celebrates individuality and creativity, Key West is also full of history since its foundation.
There are several places to eat on the island, but we recommend having lunch at one of the famous Cuban restaurants in the area. Their food is delicious and part of the island's traditions, which date back to its origins.

We found more pleasant to spend the afternoon in the beach or taking a water tour through the blue waters in search of dolphins and manatees.
