How to arrive in Bruges from Zeebrugge

The docking times for cruises at Zeebrugge can vary depending on the cruise line and itinerary. Generally, cruise ships tend to dock in the morning, around 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, to allow passengers a full day to explore Bruges, Zeebrugge, or nearby destinations.
Traveling from Zeebrugge to Bruges
Shuttle Bus: Many cruise lines provide a shuttle service that takes passengers from the Zeebrugge cruise terminal to the city center of Bruges. This is a convenient and popular option, especially if you prefer a hassle-free transfer. The cost per person varies depending on the cruise line and rounds the EUR 35 per person when purchased ahead of time.
Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside the cruise terminal. The journey to Bruges takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic, and offers a quick and comfortable option. the prices round from EUR 50–80 per vehicle.
Public Bus: There are regular bus services connecting Zeebrugge to Bruges, which is an economical choice, however, during all the time we were there, we did not see any buses running from the port terminal. Make sure to check the local bus schedules for timings. Even the city Tram was running behind and not meeting the schedules that day, so make sure to have a plan B.
Car Rental: If you prefer to explore on your own, you can rent a car in Zeebrugge and drive to Bruges. The journey is straightforward and takes approximately 20 minutes, but the rental process can take longer and cost more than expected due to the need for insurance.

We walked there to explore the city and arrived in 30-35 minutes, but taking a taxi or the tram might be better to avoid the walk.
