Sunset Watch in Mojave Dessert

The Mojave Desert at sunset is a breathtaking spectacle of natural beauty.
In our way back from Grand Canyon, we stopped here as a bonus visit with our group tour. The tour guide told us it wasn't safe to be in the desert at night, so we had to leave before it got completely dark.

As the sun dips toward the horizon, the sky ignites with a palette of warm hues—fiery oranges, deep reds, and soft pinks. The setting looks like a movie set, and the shifting colors of the sun on the rocks are unreal.

We took some beautiful photos and walked through the desert for a while; we saw some very distinctive vegetation, and the weather—though cool—still felt dry and arid, typical of a desert.

Thank you to the awesome guide who offered to take pictures for everybody in the group.

Just as night was falling, we stopped at the famous Route 66 to check it out before heading back to Las Vegas, where we had set out from at 5:00 a.m. that morning.
This trip was a completely new experience, where we gave ourselves the chance to enjoy a guided tour, where for one, we were not the ones planning it.
