What to See in Katakolon as a Cruise Stop
Katakolon is a lovely and peaceful city, with a calm and quiet atmosphere. Almost every cafe near the port offers a beautiful view of the ocean, making it a perfect spot to relax.
The cruise arrived around 8:00 am and we could get off since 9:00 am. By the time we step in Katakolon, many passengers had already left with excursions while many others stayed in the cruise.
We chose not to book an excursion with the cruise line and preferred to explore on your own. Different from other cities, there's not much beyond the shops and cafes around the port. We walked for a while entering the lively shops and restaurants around, and finally returned to the cruise.

Katakolon is the ideal place to sit back, unwind, and enjoy a nice drink while watching the ocean, away from busy city noise. A perfect retreat to enjoy some peaceful moments if that is what you are looking for.
For a different experience, definitely we would hire a taxi, the red bus tour, or even the cruise line excursions if we knew ahead of time.
