One day, upon finishing high school, we were informed that we had the option to leave our native land and move to a new nation in search of a new life—one with a different language and vastly different from everything we had known until then. The sad part was that each of us had to leave for a different country, as that was the only option available at the time to escape the system in which we had lived since birth.
We decided to take the step and promised one another that, someday, we would meet again to make our dream a reality.

Each of us adapted to our new life and began to integrate into society and the systems of the places where we found ourselves.
Just as happens with everyone else, life took its course; the days passed, and—over time—those days turned into years. We both finished university, found jobs, established social connections, and—one day—began to wonder: What must the other’s life have been like?
We both still remembered the promise we had made, and it was Kenny who found my number and took the initiative to get in touch with me.

Twelve years passed before we met again. We quickly decided that we would be together from that moment on—and forever. So, right there—the very instant we saw each other again—we embarked on a new journey together, with the mission of making our dream a reality: traveling the world. This time as adults—both independent, and with the freedom and resources to travel anywhere.
