We walked along the beautiful waterfront, discovered the city's lively atmosphere, and enjoyed a memorable tourist train ride to Notre-Dame de la Garde.
But one of our favorite moments was something much simpler.

Although we thought we had everything under control and perfectly planned, life often has other plans in store for us—plans that invite us to grow even further.
It was one of those unexpected moments during the trip that turned our day into a challenge, yet, at the same time, made it truly special.

How the Best Comes from the Unexpected
Ken wanted to have a crêpe here, but since it was early in the morning and we had already eaten breakfast on the cruise ship, we decided to continue on our own walking route. We didn’t really keep track of the time and kept exploring for a few hours.
After a while, we got hungry and started looking for a place to have a crêpe.
However, we were surprised to find that almost all the establishments had already closed for the day.
It was quite unexpected—especially for a city with so much tourism—but we didn’t let it stop us and continued on our way.

A Delicious Hot Chocolate Break
As we were returning from our walking tour, we came across a particularly charming spot that caught our eye, so we decided to take a break and enjoy a hot drink.
It was the perfect opportunity to relax and take in the surrounding atmosphere.
This was especially welcome since it was winter, and as the sun set, the air outside was beginning to turn colder.
We sat together, enjoyed some hot chocolate, and appreciated this little discovery made during our trip.
And for us, such moments of tranquility can be just as memorable as the most famous attractions.
