What to do in Zeebrugge as a Cruise Stop

The docking times for cruises at Zeebrugge can vary depending on the cruise line and itinerary. Generally, cruise ships tend to dock in the morning, around 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, to allow passengers a full day to explore Bruges, Zeebrugge, or nearby destinations.
The cruise docking area is within the port’s industrial zone, and walking directly to the port exit is usually not feasible. Visitors who do not have any excursions planned, still will need to leave the port area first to reach the city and access transportation options outside.
For cruise passengers arriving at Zeebrugge, there is typically a complementary shuttle bus service that transports you from the cruise terminal to the port exit. The shuttle provides a convenient and efficient way to reach the main transport links, local attractions, or onward travel options outside the port area.
Once outside the port, you will find several kiosks with eye-catching advertisements for excursions and experiences independent of the cruise line. Depending on the time of day, many of these may already be full or closed, so we recommend disembarking early to have a wider range of options.

Be sure to review your options before disembarking the cruise ship and check the usual prices for excursions online, as we saw many vendors charging almost double the price to visitors who purchased in person.
