Banje Beach in Dubrovnik:
Our Cruise Day Escape

One of the best things about our visit was how easily we could combine sightseeing with beach time. After walking through the historic center, we continued on foot beyond the Old Town.
We soon reached a beautiful beach along the Adriatic coast: Banje Beach.
We didn't need another taxi or a guided excursion to get there.
The location made it convenient to enjoy two different sides of Dubrovnik in one day.
First, the historic charm of the Old Town. Then, a relaxing afternoon by the sea.

Our First Impressions of the Adriatic Sea

The moment we arrived; we loved the scenery.
Beautiful watercolors, and the summer weather was spectacular.
The combination of clear water, coastal views, and sunshine created a wonderful atmosphere.
We spent several hours enjoying the surroundings and appreciating the moment.
Sometimes, the simplest experiences become our favorite travel memories.

Free Beach Access and Paid Options

One of the things we appreciated most was having different options available.
During our visit, we found a public area where visitors could enjoy the beach without paying an entrance fee.
This is especially helpful for travelers who want to keep their expenses under control.
For those who prefer extra comfort, there were also paid options.
Visitors could choose to rent lounge chairs and umbrellas rather than bringing their own beach equipment. We liked having the flexibility to decide how much to spend.
Since we ABSOLUTELY LOVE the ocean, we rented only an umbrella for €10, which covered the whole day.

KL STYLE Tips for Cruise Travelers in Dubrovnik

If you're planning a beach visit during your Dubrovnik cruise stop, here are a few tips based on our experience.
1. Explore the Old Town first. We enjoyed visiting the historic center before heading to the beach.
2. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Dubrovnik has stone streets and some uneven walking areas.
3. Bring your beach essentials. Pack sunscreen, towels, drinking water, and swimwear.
4. Check beach access. Some areas offer free public access, while beach clubs and rentals may charge additional fees.
5. Compare rental options. Prices for lounge chairs and umbrellas can vary by season and location.
6. Keep track of your cruise schedule. Allow enough time to return to the port before boarding closes.
7. Check swimming conditions. The shoreline may include stones or uneven surfaces, so water shoes can be helpful.
It was a simple plan, but it gave us wonderful memories.
And that's exactly what we love about traveling.
