Occidental at Xcaret - All Inclusive 4*

This hotel has been one of the ones we’ve enjoyed the most. It’s not because it’s the most luxurious or sophisticated, but because of the relaxed and casual atmosphere it offers at all times.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable; with everything you need to spend a few days in total relaxation.
It has 1 buffet open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 5 specialty restaurants which require reservations, and we liked what we ate at all of them, although the Mexican one was our favorite.
For the late-night snacks, there are 2 places open for wood-oven pizzas and Mexican 'antojitos' food, open until 3 am each, with full open bar.
We were impressed by the pools, very large and well separated between the kids' area, fun and activities, and relaxation spots just for adults. Nothing felt crowded and there was plenty of space and comfort at all times.
However, for us, the best of the hotel complex was these 2:
1. The beach club or 'Club de Playa'
Offers a buffet restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, with comfortable seating and shaded hammock zones for relaxation. It offers a spacious terrace with ocean views, a full bar, and an espresso station for your favorite coffee.
2. The beach, or as they call it, 'La Caleta'.
A man-made beach with real sand and crystal-clear seawater. It has underwater nets to prevent sargassum and larger marine life from entering, allowing only small and harmless fish in, which makes swimming with them a unique experience. The water had perfect temperatura all day and there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas with a full bar on the side - all inclusive. A true paradise to relax under the sun and palm trees.
Our stay at the Occidental Xcaret was excellent, perfect for our anniversary and highly recommended if you like the sun, the beach, and the all-inclusive experience in a paradisiacal and relaxed environment.
