Opened in 2017 in Hamburg’s harbor, the building is unique because a glass, wave-shaped structure sits on top of an old brick warehouse, blending historic and modern architecture.
It contains multiple concert halls, a public viewing platform (Plaza), a hotel, and restaurants.

From the plaza and viewing platforms, it's easy to enjoy panoramic vistas of the Elbe River, the port, and the Hamburg skyline, including historic Speicherstadt warehouses and modern buildings.

The interior of the Elbphilharmonie is characterized by its modern, elegant, and acoustically sophisticated design. There is plenty of space for walking and sitting around.

Located within the public areas of the building, the café features modern design elements, with sleek furnishings and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Visitors can enjoy a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and refreshing drinks, along with light snacks, pastries, and desserts.

TIP: Arrive a little earlier than your scheduled entrance time, usually 10-15 minutes is perfect. The doors are automatic and will not open before your designated time on your ticket's barcode. Avoid any last-minute rush, go calmly through security and start going up to enjoy your visit the most.

Hamburg’s well-developed public transit system, including buses and trains, provides easy access to the venue, allowing it to be a must-see for all visitors. We truly loved this experience!
